Abstract:
Viruses are widely applied to gene therapy and vaccine application including those for COVID-19. In downstream process, chromatography is useful method to purify virus and to remove impurities like host DNA and proteins. Tosoh’s solution by combination of chromatography modes including affinity, ion-exchange, hydrophobic interaction and/or multi-mode are effective to capture and polishing step. Various Virus-like particle (VLP) can also be purified by chromatographic modes to remove impurities.
