Intended Use The GENIII MicroPlate test panel provides a standardized micromethod using 94 biochemical tests to profile and identify a broad range of Gram-negative and Gram-positive bacteria1,2 . Biolog’s Microbial Identification Systems software is used to identify the bacterium from its phenotypic pattern in the GENIII MicroPlate.

The Biolog AN MicroPlate (Figure 1) is designed for identification of a very wide range of anaerobic bacteria, including the genera Bifidobacterium, Clostridium, Eubacterium, Fusobacterium, Lactobacillus, Lactococcus, Megasphaera, Pectinatus, Pediococcus, Peptostreptococcus, Propionibacterium and Weissella. These genera are important in industrial and environmental applications, especially the food industry where they are responsible for both food production and food. The AN MicroPlate employs the same redox chemistry used in the Biolog GP2 and GN2 MicroPlates

The Biolog FF MicroPlate™ (Figure 1) is the first broad based rapid identification and characterization product designed for filamentous fungi and yeast, including species from the genera Aspergillus, Penicillium, Fusarium, Alternaria, Mucor, Gliocladium, Cladosporium, Paecilomyces, Stachybotrys, Trichoderma, Zygosaccharomyces, Acremonium, Beauveria, Botryosphaeria, Botrytis, Candida, and Geotrichum.
